Here is my song for Sam.

Sam, this is my song. Who is Sam?

Sam is the guy in the recording studio talking to Johnny Cash during his audition in the movie "Walk the Line":

"Sam: Bring... laughs bring it home? Alright, let's bring it home. You was hit by a truck and your lyin' out in that gutter dyin' and you had time to sing one song. Huh? One song people would remember before you're dirt. One song that would let God know what you felt about your time here on Earth. One song that would sum you up. Your telling me that's the song you'd sing? That same Jimmie Davis tune we hear on the radio all day. About your peace within and how it's real and how you're gonna shout it? Or would you sing somethin' different? Somethin' real, somethin' you felt? Cause I'm tellin' you right now, that's the song people wanna hear. That's the kind of song that truly saves people. It ain't got nothin' to do with believin' in God, Mr. Cash. It has to do with believin' in ya self."

When writing this song, I was envisioning a person far away from me, somebody I do not know out there in this big world. The person is what we say of "The Powers that Be". The particular person's decisions may be crucial to the lives of many people. Perhaps, this person, in the night, sits alone, pondering how to make life better for oneself and others by doing the right thing for the good of people. Perhaps this person will end a war or end strife somehow? This song and message is for that person.

SPOILER ALERT: If you listen to this song all the way to the end, the last few notes sang by the male vocalist will send a shiver down your spine - guaranteed. Meaning, whoever listens to this song completely will remember this song.

"World Peace" by Floyd Kelly (2024), Music elements and vocals by Udio, Lyrics by Floyd Kelly. Genre: Contemporary Blue-eyed Soul. This song may do well in a Christian/Gospel playlist as well. I suggest this song for early Saturday and Sunday morning rotation due to its spiritual topic. This song is a good song for musical theatre.

"World Peace" Lyrics by Floyd Kelly

In the mirror's gaze, we see our flaws
A longing heart, in silent pause
We yearn to mend, to heal the scars
Embrace the light, beneath the stars

Searching for redemption in the night
A journey of healing, in the moon's soft light
We, in shadows, seek to find
The path to goodness, in our mind

Through the twists of fate, we've lost our way
But hope still flickers, in the grey
We'll rise above, the mistakes we've made
And find the strength, to not evade

Searching for redemption in the night
A journey of healing, in the moon's soft light
We, in shadows, seek to find
The path to goodness, in our mind

With every step, we'll strive to be
The people we're meant, to truly see
In kindness found, we'll make our stand
And reach out for, a helping hand

Searching for redemption in the night
A journey of healing, in the moon's soft light
We, in shadows, seek to find
The path to goodness, in our mind

In the depths of our soul, we confront our fears
Release the burden, that's weighed us down for years
With forgiveness and grace, we'll set ourselves free
And embrace the love, that's always meant to be

Searching for redemption in the night
A journey of healing, in the moon's soft light
We, in shadows, seek to find
The path to goodness, in our mind

In the depths of our soul, we confront our fears
Release the burden, that's weighed us down for years
With forgiveness and grace, we'll set ourselves free
And embrace the love, that's always meant to be

Searching for redemption in the night
A journey of healing, in the moon's soft light
We, in shadows, seek to find
The path to goodness, in our mind

Searching for redemption in the night
A journey of healing, in the moon's soft light
We, in shadows, seek to find
The path to goodness, in our mind
