If you've ever wondered what songs were struggling for acceptance on the Hot 100 and Bubbling Under charts during a specific month and year, then our monthly show known as The American Bottom 45 is for you!
The American Bottom 45 is hosted by DJ Gilbert Matthews. He will spin 45 tunes that either only managed to peak between #41 and #135 or were top 40 hits that have been forgotten by the majority of today's traditional oldies stations. Also in the mix will be 9 TV show themes that fit in with the time frame being showcased; some of them will be instantly familiar, but some of them will be ones that only had a brief glimpse in the spotlight.
This month's show will take you back to the groovy sounds of September 1968. Tune in for the show on Wednesday, September 25th at 7 PM eastern by visiting our below website address; The Retro Attic can also be found on fine internet radio directories like ITunes Radio(Golden Oldies category), Shoutcast, Nokia Radio, Streamfinder, Tunein.com, Virtual Radio, Delicast, Radio Tuna, etc. There will be a repeat airing of the show, which will be announced on our website on the 26th.
Next month's show will feature lost sounds from October 1979. Suggestions for future months/years are always welcomed!
