Volunteers - ready for a 512kbps UHD test?
Why?
The people say 320kbps MP3 would be HD, but it's definitely not! For example, if you have ringing bells in your audio-file, you hear distortions. So there is a need for some improvements.
What's about FLAC?
FLAC is a perfect solution for Ultra-High-Definition-Audio, but often not supported. And in addition, for streaming audio a bitrate around 1000kbps is too high, I think.
So I increased the audio-bitrate step by step, and at 512kbps I could'nt HEAR differences to the original FLAC-Audio-Sources any more. (By the way: If you do measurements, you will SEE differences, of course!)
How can you help?
Dear Volunteer,
please test the UHD-Radio-Stream on your platform and give report, if it works. Report your hardware, operating system, and the player-software you use.
