News stream?

We use RadioDJ automation software, and have found a facility that basically allows you to transmit a news stream from any news stream providing service on the web.

Does anyone know of one based in the U.K.? Free would be good, but also prepared to pay...

Online news streams are very hard to find in my opinion. Most of the news relays are done over satellite like SRN. Before moving to SRN, we used to relay the BBC world service news but an hour behind. Not ideal but better than no news. You can download the bbcnewssummary.mp3 file from the net.

You would just need a script of some sort which downloads the file and uploads it into your playout system. Im not familiar with RadioDJ though.
