Multiple Streams Via One Computer Hub/Website?

Apologies in advance but I am coming from a very basic level of internet radio research.

I would like to know if it is possible to broadcast more than one stream via the same internet site. And if so would a separate computer hub be required for each one? I am looking at this as a potential music solution for a business with multiple spaces to be catered for differently, at different times.

Here is an example of a site I have found that appears to host multiple streams. https://intergalacticfm.com

Any insight into how this is achieved would be most welcome!

Thanks. Carrie

Hi Carrie,

Yes it is possible to broadcast more than one stream through the same website.

Having just had a quick look at the https://intergalacticfm.com/ website, it looks as though they just have 6 separate radio streams and have then embedded a flash player for each stream within the website.

If you was interested in using our services for such a thing, you could set up multiple radio server accounts (with the differing content) here: Internet Radio Servers

No dedicated hub or anything like that is needed by you, we take care of the stream hosting and bandwidth required for this. All you require is an internet connection, a computer with a soundcard and of course a music collection. The following beginners guide here in our forums may be of some use to you: http://forum.internet-radio.com/guides/12168-beginners-guide-internet-radio.html

There are several flash based players that you can use for free on the internet that would allow you to embed different radio streams into your website design. For example the Muses radio player: Muses Radio Player - The Flash MP3/OGG/AAC Live Stream Player!
With our radio server accounts we also provide code which you can add into your website to display tune in links, now playing and more.

We hope this helps, please feel to just ask should you have any further questions. :)

Thanks so much for this, it's really helpful, and answers all manner of rambling tech concerns my end.

We will definitely be in touch soon.

Carrie :)

Hi again

If we wanted to discuss this in more detail what would be the best way to go about it? Should I use the forum or is there a way to do it privately? Privately preferable.

Thanks!

Carrie
