Long Live the Blues....

Tomiko Dixon demonstrates that her grandfather's musical legacy is in safe hands. This powerhouse of a blues woman, Dixon Along with The Tom Stober Band featuring Billy Branch took their forebear's iconic 'It Don't Make Sense ,We Can't Make Peace" and made it their own. Tomiko delivered an explosive arrangement that set the stage alight. Make no doubt about it Tomiko has inherited her grandfather's genes. She well deserves the title of “The Grand-Daughter of the Blues”

The blues world has opened its arms to embrace this lovely young lady, adopting her to carry on the legacy of her late grandfather Willie Dixon.

Tomiko's career began in 2009 when she began working with producers & bands. In 2010 she successfully launched herself as an artist and founded her own Publishing Company 'Grand Blues Music' & The Grand Blues Music Heritage Foundation in 2015.

Following her auspicious start Tomiko has worked tirelessly to support others in the music world. A familiar figure on the Chicago scene she is a volunteer at the city's Light House for the Blind & A Partner Associate of Jay B Ross & Associates (one of the top Entertainment Law offices in the City of Chicago.)

Ever the workhorse Tomiko is an official Grammy Voting Member of the Recording Academy & also assist with finding eligible new members for Academy's (Chicago Chapter) and is an active Supporter & Member of The Blues Foundation , while also being involved in several other Companies & Foundations.

(Two) categories of The 36th Annual 2017 CMA ( Chicago Music Awards)

The Next Stop for Tomiko will be The 59th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held on February 12, 2017. The CBS network will broadcast the show live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles..Tomiko will be in attendance...
