Hi everyone! This is my second post here. I'm a UK-based presenter that's looking to do online radio again, and hoping I can find the place I'm looking for.
I'm female (voice is quite androgynous, though!) and in my early-to-mid 20s. I'm looking to present a show geared around new music, with some older music thrown in too, often alternative in genre rather than just mainstream pop. I'd add in chat between the songs, of course.
I'm looking for a station with a good amount of listener interaction and involvement. A continually active Discord server or other chat room would be a bonus. Not looking to just talk to myself to 4 passive listeners. I'd fit best at a station with a younger (or young-ish) audience or any with a more alternative/indie slant, but I'll consider anywhere that fits the bill.
I'd prefer a station with a good amount of schedule space, where it's possible to book 2 or 3 hour slots on the day or the day before, as I'm available. I could consider a set slot but I prefer the flexibility of booking as I can do. If your schedule is very full at desirable times, it probably won't be a good fit for me (although I can do UK afternoons quite a bit, I would like to be able to do some UK evening slots as well, as that's usually when the audiences are better!)
I did online radio in my teens very regularly. I have good equipment and a good grasp of the software I use, so I won't really need any babysitting or setting up. I last did some bits in the autumn, but then I became ill and parted ways with the station in question.
If you're interested, reply here or email me at katie.ktc.radio@gmail.com (email is best), thanks!
