KOMMON ARE LOOKING FOR TALENTED & ENTHUSIASTIC RADIO PRESENTERS WHO ARE JUST STARTING OUT OR HAVE EXPERIENCE, LITTLE, LARGE AND/OR GOOD.
Job applications are once again open at Kommon and we're looking to bring in many talented presenters.
Kommon is a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Internet radio station, looking to go much further in the future. We get many hits a day and a large audience.
A few key points you should note:
- This job is voluntary. We need to maintain our radio broadcasting license, text system, landline number & servers. As a Kommon presenter we require you to pay £7 a month to cover the costs of said requirements in order for us to operate as a radio station and for you to enjoy your time even more with us.
- As at the moment we are an Internet radio station, you will need to use SAM Broadcaster 2, 3 or 4 or NiceCast to present live shows. Pre-recording is available for people but this must be discussed with an administrator on our forums.
Please find the criteria below:
- You must dedicate 2-4 hours a week. If you wish to do more this is at your own choice.
- You must have basic knowledge of SAM Broadcaster or NiceCast.
- You must have a decent microphone. This can be from a good quality sounding jack microphone or USB. We do prefer condenser microphones, but if it's of decent quality then it's fine. We do not accept webcam microphones.
- You need to be enthusiastic and not say 'erm' a lot or stutter.
- You must speak clear English.
- You must be willing to spend time and put effort into your shows.
- Must be trustworthy and have patience.
- Must be willing to contribute £7 a month for licence costs.
Being a Kommon Presenter you will receive access to:
- Our text system to read texts which come through from our listener audience.
- The Skype account to take on-air calls. (We have a landline number).
- A exclusive area for our radio presenters on our forum which gives you information, access to listeners requests and downloads.
- After showing dedication and remaining as a presenter for a good while, you will receive your own custom made jingles for your show(s).
What you will gain:
- (Voluntary)Experience and essential skills in radio broadcasting. This looks great on a CV to obtain future jobs in media.
