Hi
I hope this post finds you in good health and that all is good in your neighbourhood.
Aside from running an online radio station I have dabbled in live music performance over the years.
Things didn't work out besides performing with (and sometimes even fronting) bands like Bandyt (split), 2nd Naicha (split), Anakhi (sacked), The Illuminations (split), and SPG (not really sure what happened - we were soooooo young and stupid).
I produced this mess of a song in 2020 which, despite its title, has nothing to do with being naked - well not in a physical sense anyway.
It's simply about knowing yourself and seeing yourself for who you are - after all, we all want to be the best version of ourselves don't we? To achieve that, I think change is necessary. So yeah, this song was inspired by those feelings.
As the online radio station Prodigal Sun Radio is a totally self funded venture, any funds I make from the sale of my music will be pumped into further developing the station. A Community License is the dream but there's a long way to go before that's gonna happen.
To date Naked Selfie, despite the almost countless YouTube, Amazon, Tidal, Audible, Spotify, Facebook, Tik Tok, iTunes (and wherever else) streams, has earned me a wholesome $2.55 which I can't wait to invest in...well, whatever. (Thanks CD Baby!!) (Note - I can't actually cash in yet as I set the bar at $50, and, well, there's quite a way to go).
If you're a struggling artist out there - believe me, my heart goes out to you. Because it's out there!!
Of course, despite its limitations, I'm here to plug my song. I like it. It was a groove making it and it's a groove listening back to it. For me anyway.
But more than the track promo I'm here to let music-heads, artists, promoters, labels, the whole music industry know that, the PSR door is always open to new music, and especially promoting under-the-radar artists.
The station is big on reggae, house, afro-house, edm, and a little rock/metal.
So, if you get this post and think I can help out somehow, holla at me or just hit me up with your mp3, wav, acc, whatever kinda audio file you like by visiting the website, and bouncing that submit link.
If you want to connect on social media you're most likely to find me here. Heaven knows, I could do with some friends.
Otherwise...
Thanks for reading.
Stay blessed.
