ID3 tags not displaying correctly

hi there, i hope someone can help...

For some reason, on my station page and shoutcast page all my newly uploaded songs are being displayed as "unknown" in the artist field. The track name is displayed.

the mp3s were converted in itunes, with full ID3 tags. in the past i have always done the same, with no problem.

Can someone help me see what the problem is?

Hi Alex,

It would seem that something has gone wrong in your settings whilst encoding the files. From looking at your playlists in your control panel we can see that the artist names are not being displayed there either. This is not something that has happened as a result of the server or the FTP upload.

We can only suggest re-encoding the tracks and uploading them again.
 
Problem solved

Problem solved. the problem was because I uploaded the mp3s directly from an iPad, using an FTP app. So I deleted them all, and reuploaded the mp3s from a laptop, and the artists names are displaying correctly.
