Our main focus here at The Retro Attic is playing seldom-heard oldies from the 50's through the 80's, but twice a week we take a short detour into the early to mid 90's with our newest show, Flannel Free Music!
While most 90's based internet stations play to death the same old tracks from Nirvana, The Chemical Brothers, U2 and Filter, Flannel Free Music does its best to dedicate its playlist to those artists who kept the spirit of the old days going. If you're a fan of straight-ahead pop, classic rock, westcoast AOR and melodic rock, then you will like this show. If you don't mind occasional college/alternative rock that wasn't "controversial" and/or paid homage to the sounds of the 60's through the 80's, then you will like this show even more!
Flannel Free Music airs a new show every Wednesday at 11 AM eastern with a repeat airing on Saturdays at 8 PM eastern. Ways to tune in can be found at our webpage link below along with playlist previews in our postings. For example, this Wednesday's show will feature gems from artists such as Baby Animals, 38 Special, The Lemonheads, REO Speedwagon, Asia, Swervedriver, Blue Tears, The Scorpions, Paul McCartney, The Cavedogs, Cinderella, Breathe, The Northern Pikes, Donna Lewis, White Lion, The Triplets, Tears For Fears, Gary Hoey, Mike + The Mechanics, and Steve Winwood.
