Associate playlist to mount point

After creating new mount point, I don't see option to associate it to different playlist or playlist group. The new mount point plays same audio as the main /stream or /autodj

Basically, I want to play different playlists on 2 separate mount points using Auto DJ feature.
I am planning to use 2 mount points for different geographic locations.
So at any time, the 2 mount points could be playing different audio files per schedule of local time.

This way, I will be able to utilize same media files for both locations and also switch both to live streaming at once.

Is this possible? if yes, how can I accomplish this?
Help/guidance needed..
Thanks!

Hi Aniruddha,

This is not possible we are afraid. Its only possible to create different mount points for different streaming bitrates, so for example a high (320kbps) bitrate mount point and a low (64kbps) bitrate mount point. But the content (playlist) will still be exactly the same.

In order to achieve this you would just require two separate server accounts.

Support team, thanks for your reply. I have couple of questions.

If I get another server account, can I manage both streams from same control panel and share same media list?

Or do I have to login separately into both accounts? will there be anything common between the two accounts?

Also if I have live programming, how can I achieve it on both streams at same time?

Thanks & Regards,
Aniruddha

Hi Aniruddha,

No problem at all :)

Yes it would be possible for you to manage both accounts from the same login interface, but not from the actual same control panel itself as such. We have a "reseller account" option, this basically means that you can have two separate accounts with us that share a monthly bandwidth allowance and can be controlled from just the one master login interface. But if you had two accounts they would still have separate control panels for each. This is however still easily manageable and saves you having to constantly keep logging in and out for each account.

You could have the same media library for both accounts as well, but the files would still be required to be uploaded individually for each account. But if you was to upload these to one of the accounts, we could just copy over the files into the other accounts library for you to save you having to upload them again.

For live programming this depends really on how you would go about this? What is your set up? You could just run two separate instances of standalone live stream encoding software going out to each of the servers. But this could be an issue depending on what encoder software that you prefer to use? We are not sure if any exist that can connect to two different servers at the same time?

We now have 2 servers with 1GB storage which are the base plan.

We are trying to do a trial for a non profit faith based programming and have media more than 1GB after condensing.

Could we get quota increased to 2GB per account? At this time we do not have need to the next upgrade which $25 plan.

If possible, would like to discuss with support on options on how we can get additional storage.

Would appreciate if you could please send me contact number via email?

Thanks!
