(Apologies in advance if this is not the correct forum for this question.)
The last jPlayer release was five years ago (https://github.com/jplayer/jPlayer/releases), by all accounts it's no longer maintained, relies on what is becoming an obsolete jQuery framework, lacks (to the best of my knowledge) robust features like reconnect attempts (I had to roll my own--not pretty), etc. Alternatives would include something built using Angular or React and of course be cross-browser and cross-platform (including mobile) compatible.
Thanks,
Greg Butler
