A question about cost

It's me again!

Prior to signing up, I just need to ensure that your packages are suitable for our needs and by suitable, I mean flexible so that we aren't paying for what we aren't using, On the face of it, it seems that you have a competitive value proposition.

My question is simply; with your £3.60 package, what would that equal in terms of user streaming hours assuming a 128k stream? I am assuming that this is how you measure listening levels. So, I assume that one user listening for 10 hours would cost the same as 10 users listing for 1 hour?

Please can you explain.

Thanks, Stephen,

Hi Stephen,

We are pleased that you are interested in our services. :)

The £3.60 that you mention is for 10GB of bandwidth on our "pay as you go" plan. This provides you with a total of 182 listening hours at 128kbps. You may find this guide helpful which explains Total Listening Hours (TLH): http://www.internet-radio.com/community/threads/total-listening-hours.15837/

We actually provide a bandwidth calculator which will also help you with working this out. http://www.internet-radio.com/servers/tools/bandwidth/

Your assumption is correct. Streaming at 128kbps with 10 listeners for 1 hour would use 0.55GB (562.50MB) of bandwidth. This would be exactly the same as 1 listener tuning in for 10 hours (0.55GB).

We hope that this helps and we hopefully look forward to your station joining our services. :)

No problem at all. :)

Yes, we feel our our "pay as you go" service is great for beginners or those who are infrequent broadcasters.

You can also always upgrade your account yourself at any time that you like. This can be done directly from within your servers control panel should the station become more popular and require larger amounts of bandwidth to cater for the extra listeners.
